Authorities in north-central Nghe An province have approved an investment by Innovation Precision Vietnam Ltd. Co. at the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP).

With estimated investment capital of $165 million, the project will produce aluminum alloy for the production of electronic products and green energy as well as supply input materials for the production of products such as laptop cases, mobile phone cases, chargers, and smart watches.

Total designed capacity is estimated at 100,000 tons a year.

It will cover 11.78 ha at VSIP.

The plant is scheduled to be put into operation in October 2024.

In addition, the Management Board of the Dong Nam Nghe An Economic Zone has recently signed an investment certificate for Runergy PV Technology Ltd. Co. from Thailand to invest in a factory producing monocrystalline silicon rods and semiconductor platters. Total investment is estimated at $293 million.

As of July 27, Nghe An had granted investment licenses to 69 new projects this year with total registered capital of over VND21.8 trillion ($916 million).
