Authorities of Nghe An province in central Vietnam held a meeting with a Hungarian business delegation and the Vietnamese Business Association in Hungary to explore opportunities for investment cooperation in science and technology.
At the event, the provincial Department of Foreign Affairs highlighted Nghe An’s socio-economic development and investment potential. The province recorded economic growth of 9.01% in 2024, ranking 13th nationwide.
Foreign direct investment (FDI) remains a strong driver, with Nghe An consistently among the top 10 localities for FDI attraction over the past three years. To date, it has lured 156 projects worth over $6 billion.
Hungarian businesses presented advanced technology products and new materials, seeking local partners for collaboration.
Trade ties between the province and Hungary remain modest, with export turnover reaching nearly $46,000 in 2024.
