The Nghe Provincial People’s Council in Vietnam’s north-central region has approved a resolution to add over VND363 billion ($14.2 million) from the State budget to three key projects as part of its 2024 public investment plan.
VND230 billion ($9.01 million) will be added to a project building the Nghe An Oncology Hospital, second phase, which has total estimated investment of VND1.259 trillion ($49.3 million) and a capacity of 1,000 beds.
The remaining funds will be added to a sub-project of a project on comprehensive infrastructure development in Nghe An and neighboring and Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, and Quang Tri provinces, and a sub-project of a project on developing tourism infrastructure for the comprehensive development of the Mekong sub-region, second phase.
The province’s total mid-term public investment capital for the 2021-2025 period is estimated at over VND20.9 trillion ($819 million), excluding capital for the implementation of national target programs, according to the provincial Department of Planning and Investment. Some 99.44 per cent of the capital has been allocated.
