Central Nghe An province estimates to welcome 6.2 million tourists in the first six months of 2025, marking a significant increase of 113% year-on-year, according to the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Of which, there were 50,800 foreign visitors.

Total revenue from tourism activities is projected at over VND7.3 trillion ($278 million).

Nghe An has conducted various activities to promote its tourism, including a national lotus festival, tourism festivals, farm trips, and tourism promotion events.

The province targets to serve another 6.2 million tourists in the second half of the year, including 135,000 international holidaymakers. Total tourism turnover for the whole year is expected at VND11.9 trillion ($454 million).
