Nha Trang - Cam Lam Expressway finishes ahead of schedule

The Nha Trang - Cam Lam Expressway project, part of the Eastern North-South Expressway, is expected to open to traffic three months ahead of schedule, in late May, after 20 months of construction.

Construction kicked off in September 2021 by the Son Hai Group under the public-private partnership form. It was scheduled for completion in September 2023.

However, construction has now been basically completed so the investor proposed the Ministry of Transport put the expressway into operation in late May.

The four-lane expressway is 49 km long, crossing Dien Khanh and Cam Lam districts and Cam Ranh city in south-central Khanh Hoa province. It has total investment of over VND4.3 trillion ($180 million).

Once put into operation, the expressway will help shorten travel times between economic zones, contributing to accelerating the establishment and development of industrial parks in Khanh Hoa.
