Ca Na Port in south-central Ninh Thuan province will be developed into a comprehensive national port acting as a regional hub that can accommodate vessels with a capacity of up to 100,000 DWT and larger.

This is part of Ninh Thuan’s provincial development plan for the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050, which has been approved by the Prime Minister.

Under the plan, the development of the province’s port network will target Ca Na Port in Thuan Nam district and Ninh Chu Port in Phan Rang - Thap Cham city. The development orientation will mostly focus on the deep-water Ca Na Port.

Investment will be prioritized for the development of the port’s infrastructure and traffic routes, which includes the construction of a railway line linking the port with Ca Na railway station to promote multimodal transportation.

The first phase of the Ca Na Port project covers a total area of 85.52 ha, including two port terminals for handling general cargo, containers, and bulk cargo of up to 100,000 DWT.
