The People’s Committee of northern Hai Duong province has approved  a master plan for a specialized economic zone (EZ) to tap the province’s potential and advantages for socio-economic development.

The EZ will cover 5,300 ha in Binh Giang and Thanh Mien districts.

It will be located within the Kunming (China) – Hanoi – Quang Ninh economic corridor with favorable conditions to connect with seaports, airports, expressways, ring roads and the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong rail route.

Under the master plan, the EZ will feature 13 industrial parks and three industrial clusters with a total area of 3,150 ha; a trade, services and logistics center; and an innovation center.
