Nvidia - a leading semiconductor chip producer in the US - wants to cooperate with Vietnam in semiconductors, information technology, and AI, according to its President Jensen Huang.

In a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during his visit to Silicon Valley and major US and global tech companies on September 18, Mr. Huang said the company hopes Vietnam will become its production base in Southeast Asia.

The Prime Minister proposed that the company boost cooperation with and expand its investment in Vietnam in fields where it holds strengths and the country has priority, provide policy advice, and assist with the training of human resources and the improvement of technological and governance capacity, thus helping Vietnam engage more deeply in global supply chains.

Prime Minister Chinh also visited Synopsys and Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook).
