Over $1.27 bln worth of corporate bonds issued in August

Corporate bond issuances totaled over VND32 trillion ($1.27 billion) from August 1-20, down 8% year-on-year, according to the MB Securities (MBS).

The total value of corporate bonds issued so far this year reached over VND220.8 trillion ($8.79 billion), marking a significant increase of 50.4% compared to the same period last year.

The average bond interest rates in the first eight months of the year stayed at 7% per year.

Regarding government bonds, the State Treasury raised over VND26.3 trillion ($1.04 billion) in August in the primary market.

The figure brings the total value of government bonds raised by the State Treasury so far this year to more than VND219.3 trillion ($8.73 billion), fulfilling 55% of the annual plan.
