The Ministry of Construction has approved an adjustment to the seaport development plan for Central Highlands’ Dak Lak province for the 2021–2030 period, with a vision to 2050, following the merger between the former provinces of Dak Lak and Phu Yen.

Under the revised plan, Dak Lak will host three seaports with 16–17 berths, totaling 3,417–3,532 meters in length.

By 2030, total land use demand is projected at 34,100 hectares, including 17,600 hectares for seaport development, while water surface demand is estimated at 606,000 hectares.

The plan envisions Dak Lak as a future seaport and logistics hub in Vietnam's south central region, thus boosting industrial, trade, and service development while enhancing the province’s international integration.
