Over 200 domestic and foreign food and foodstuff enterprises introduced their products at the second HCMC International Food Industry Exhibition (HCMC Foodex 2023) held from June 28-30.

The expo aimed at promoting Vietnamese brands and products in global markets and helping local enterprises seek trade cooperation opportunities.

Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Duong Anh Duc said the city’s food processing industry will continue to develop and maintain its role as a key production sector.

The organization of the expo is part of programs designed to help businesses and mobilize investment for development, he said.

A series of workshops were held on the sidelines, to update businesses on the latest production technology and potential export markets.
