Total public investment capital allocated from the State budget for 2023 reached over VND638 trillion ($27 billion) in January, equal to 90.32 per cent of the target set by the Prime Minister, according to the Ministry of Finance.

The total amount earmarked for public investment this year is over VND756 trillion ($32 billion). Of this, capital from domestic sources is VND727 trillion ($30.8 billion) and foreign sources VND29 trillion ($1.2 billion).

By the end of January, the ministry had received reports on allocations of capital for public investment from 33 of 52 ministries and centrally-run agencies as well as 63 cities and provinces nationwide.
