An exhibition dedicated to helping the public identify genuine products from counterfeits is being hosted from January 14, at 62 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, by the General Department of Market Management under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The event features over 500 items from diverse sectors such as beverages, healthcare products, cosmetics, consumer goods, fashion, footwear, handbags, eyewear, helmets, and electronics, among many others. These essential everyday items are frequently targeted by counterfeiters. Most of the products on display were recently confiscated by market management authorities.

With the traditional Lunar New Year holiday approaching and shopping activities increasing, the exhibition’s timing is critical. It aims to address the rising issue of substandard goods flooding the market during this peak shopping period.

Marking its 15th edition, this exhibition welcomes visitors free of charge. Market management officials will be on hand to provide direct guidance on recognizing the characteristics of both genuine and counterfeit high-demand products.

The exhibition will be open until January 18.
