Authorities in central Quang Binh province plan to develop Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park into a national tourism center of international standard with high-quality and modern infrastructure, according to the provincial Department of Tourism.

This is part of the province’s tourism development plan in the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050.

Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park was listed among the 39 best destinations to visit in 2022 by the US’s AFAR Magazine.

The province will also develop luxurious coastal tourism sites in Dong Hoi city and surrounding areas.

It also targets promoting the development of cultural and historical tourism.

To reach its targets, the province has taken many measures to attract investment in building a 86-km coastal road as well as tourism sites and coastal urban areas.

Quang Binh has identified tourism as a spearhead industry, enabling it to become a fully-developed locality in the central region.
