The Corporate Sustainability Index 2022 (CSI 2022) ceremony was held by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development on December 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, in collaboration with the Ministries of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Natural Resources and Environment and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

It was held to honor businesses that perform well in terms of economy, society, and environmental protection. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, Politburo Member and Head of the Central Economic Commission, and hundreds of delegates from leading departments, unions, and businesses in Vietnam.

This was the second consecutive year the Phuc Khang Corporation was listed among the Top 10 Sustainable Businesses in Vietnam. In 2020, it was in the Top 100, but only one year later made a step into the Top 10.

With a strategy to strengthen its internal resources and plans to integrate and elevate its business, the Phuc Khang Corporation passed many rigorous rounds of testing, meeting 130 criteria in the CSI 2022 Index. This year’s Index is divided into five parts: business overview, main economic, environmental, labor and social results, governance and environmental factors, and labor-society index.

Mr. Tran Tam, Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Phuc Khang Corporation, expressed his appreciation of the government, ministries, departments, and the business community’s recognition of the company’s sustainable development efforts.

Responding to the government’s call for safe, flexible adaptation to create economic and social recovery and development momentum, the Phuc Khang Corporation has implemented many strategies to maintain its internal resources in parallel with global integration to elevate its business.

The corporation had held regular training programs, such as a third internal training course for staff on the journey of sustainable development, presented by Associate Professor Nirmal Kishnani, former Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Environment at the National University of Singapore, at the Green Learning Week in Singapore.

It also conducts gender equality assessments in the workplace and has a comprehensive digital transformation project.

The diversity and mindset that respects differences and promotes integration brings about a safe and free space to promote creativity, thereby providing a happy working environment for individuals to develop their careers and contribute to the sustainable development of the business.

With advantages from being a green building developer for 13 years, the corporation is pursuing a mission of pioneering the creation of a better lifestyle and sustainability for the community and the environment under global green standards and has continued to focus on perfecting green products in Vietnam.

Along with the honor of being one of the 10 most sustainable businesses in Vietnam in 2022, Ms. Luu Thi Thanh Mau, CEO of the Phuc Khang Corporation, also excelled, being the only representative from Vietnam to receive a prestigious Asia-Pacific Leadership in Green Building Award.

The Vietnam Bamboo Convention Center was also awarded a LOTUS SB Gold certificate, and Diamond Lotus Riverside was selected as one of two projects to participate in the Vietnam Green Building Week 2022, held recently in Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition to strengthening internal corporate resources and promoting green products, the Phuc Khang Corporation is also dedicated to corporate social responsibility (CSR).

In 2022, it signed strategic cooperation agreements with many prestigious universities, such as the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, on a range of training courses to build innovation spaces under green building standards, conduct tree planting efforts, and present scholarships to students.

The most recent example is its companion program with the Red Star Entrepreneur Club in collaboration with the Will to Live Center to organize the launch of the Willtolive JSC - a social enterprise to support people with disabilities in a practical, effective, and sustainable manner.

Right orientations and a methodical, step-by-step strategy have made the Phuc Khang Corporation one of the top 10 businesses in Vietnam in terms of sustainable development.
