Huyền Vy -

Global situation forecasted to potentially affecting the fuel market.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a dispatch on September 23, asking for continuous measures to ensure sufficient supply of petrol for production, trade and consumption.

The global economy is forecast to continue to evolve in a complex and unpredictable manner, posing the risks of disruption in supply chains, price fluctuations, and supply sources of goods and services, particularly petrol, raw materials, transportation costs and gold prices, according to the dispatch.

The dispatch required relevant ministries and sectors to resolutely implement assigned measures and tasks to ensure the supply of petrol for production, trade and consumption, contributing to stabilizing the macro-economy, promoting growth, curbing inflation and ensuring major balances of the economy.

PM Chinh asked the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) to direct petroleum businesses and retailers to prepare trading plans for petroleum products to ensure sufficient supply to meet market demand.

The ministry was instructed to keep a close watch on the world and domestic markets, and regularly check and guide the allocation of petroleum and oil sources in line with the market situation.

He ordered relevant ministries and agencies to ensure there are no fuel shortages or disruptions to supply chains in any circumstances.

The PM requested the Ministry of Finance to team up with the MoIT and major petroleum traders to adjust petrol prices in accordance with the current regulations and market, and ensure the harmonized benefits of the State, enterprises and people.
