Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has instructed authorities in north-central Thanh Hoa province to focus on building a stable, flexible, and integrated labor market.

The province should also pay attention to developing a comprehensive social security system and building social housing for low income earners and workers, the Prime Minister said during his working visit to the province on January 27 to present gifts to social policy beneficiaries, the poor, and disadvantaged workers as the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday approaches.

He asked local businesses to take measures to improve working conditions and boost productivity.

On the occasion of Tet, labor unions at all levels and donors in the province presented over 7,000 gift sets costing over VND8 billion ($333,000) to disadvantaged workers at the Nghi Son Economic Zone and industrial parks.
