Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked investors, authorities of central Quang Binh province and relevant agencies to strive to put into operation three sub-projects of the North-South Expressway that run across the province before April 30, 2025, the Government News has reported.
The Government leader examined the construction sites of the sub-projects on June 2.
The sub-projects have a total length of 126.43km, including 42.95-km Vung Ang-Bung section, 49.93-km Bung-Van Ninh section and 33.5-km Van Ninh-Cam Lo section.
PM Chinh lauded Quang Binh for handing over 96% of land to the projects and building 26 resettlement areas for 551 households whose land has been acquired for the projects.
Construction of the three sections reached 50%, 44%, and 40% by the end of May, respectively.
The same day, the Government leader visited the project constructing a 80-km coastal road and Nhat Le 3 bridge in the province.
The coastal road has a total investment of VND2.2 trillion ($86.4 million). It is scheduled to complete in 2026. Currently, 89% of the ground for the project has been cleared.
Meanwhile, the bridge has a total cost of VND1.3 trillion ($51 million).
