Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended a conference held on Setpember 22 to announce northern Bac Ninh province's master plan for 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050, and to promote investment in the province.

Under the master plan, approved by the PM in December 2023, Bac Ninh targets a GRDP average annual growth rate of 8-9% per year.

Addressing the conference, PM Chinh asked northern Bac Ninh province to mobilize and effectively use all available resources to promote traditional growth drivers (investment, export and consumption) while focusing on new growth drivers (green economy, digital economy, circular economy, sharing economy and knowledge-based economy) to realize the master planning.

He urged the province to quickly sketch out and put in place implementation plans, and work to create development breakthroughs.

The province was instructed to enhance investment in human resources development, promote regional connection and boost strategic infrastructure development.

The PM asked the province to promote spearhead economic sectors, high technology, and digital transformation; expand industrial parks in a green, circular, and sustainable fashion; and engage more intensively and extensively in regional and global value chains.

At the same time, it is important to develop modern trade infrastructure, and a large logistics center to facilitate the circulation of goods in the northern region and across the country, he said.
