Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked ministries, agencies, and localities to invest in building schools and medical facilities in urban areas, residential areas, and industrial parks.
A circular issued by the Prime Minister on March 10 states that there remains a shortage of education facilities and medical establishments at a number of urban areas and residential areas and too few housing areas for workers and low-income earners, thus failing to meet demand among citizens and tourists. In some areas, existing facilities have deteriorated or become overloaded.
The government leader asked relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to study the actual situation and prioritize resources to invest in building new education and medical facilities or upgrading existing ones.
They were also instructed to supervise the construction of these projects to ensure quality and progress. Investors found to not fully observe their responsibilities and obligations as committed will be punished under the law.
