Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked the Ministry of Transport (MoT) and localities to take measures to speed up the progress of key national expressway projects.
He noted four important matters to take into consideration, including compensation and resettlement, selecting contractors, implementing special mechanisms, and accessing construction materials.
Compensation and resettlement must be conducted under legal regulations, while contractors with sufficient capacity and experience must be selected, to ensure project quality and efficiency.
He ordered relevant agencies to regularly inspect and supervise project implementation.
The MoT and People’s Committees of cities and provinces have been entrusted to implement special mechanisms from authorized agencies and to report to the Prime Minister on any shortcomings and difficulties encountered during project implementation.
Localities, investors, and construction contractors were requested to manage, license, and exploit minerals to produce construction materials under resolutions adopted by the National Assembly and the government.
