At a reception held for visiting President and CEO of Ericsson Borje Ekholm on November 25, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of collaboration in training human resources, experience sharing, and policy consultation. He also highlighted the need to support Vietnamese groups and partners in joining global supply chains.

Vietnam aims to promote innovation and integration, the Prime Minister said, expressing the country’s readiness for strategic, long-term cooperation with Ericsson.

To accelerate digital transformation, the Vietnamese Government has been implementing breakthrough programs and policies, including the completion of numerous legal documents to ease difficulties and create favorable conditions for the process. Significant investments are being made to modernize digital infrastructure, with a focus on digital data development and human resources for the digital industry.

He spoke of Ericsson’s desire to join efforts to accelerate Vietnam’s national digital transformation and to research and develop new technologies and products in the country. He also highlighted the importance of the Vietnamese market for Ericsson, expressing confidence that the country is on the right track and will be a leader in the digital economy.

Mr. Ekholm also reaffirmed Ericsson’s commitment to Vietnam, including the development of an R&D center to create new solutions and export opportunities, leveraging the country’s skilled workforce and growing digital economy.
