The Quang Trach 1 thermal power plant has a total investment capital of over VND41.13 trillion ($1.61 billion).

Covering 48.6 ha in Qung Trach district, the plant is expected to supply 8.4 billion kWh to the national power system each year.

Construction started in December, 2021.

Highlighting the importance of the project, the leader asked the investors, local authorities and relevant agencies to strive to speed up the project’s progress while ensuring its quality to complete the plant on the occasion of the 80th National Day (September 2, 2025).
