PM proposes to boost Vienam-South Korea cooperation in digital transformation

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, who is paying an official visit to South Korea,  proposed Vietnam and South Korea to promote cooperation in digital transformation and green transition during a meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Woo Won-shik in Seoul on July 2.

He also called for South Korea’s assistance in human resources training in the fields of semiconductor and AI.

The Vietnamese government leader suggested South Korea to continue creating conditions for the exports of key products of Vietnam to the South Korean market, particularly agricultural and fishery products.

The Korean Speaker proposed the Vietnamese Government to create favorable conditions for Korean businesses to do business in Vietnam.

He vowed to work with the Vietnamese National Assembly in promoting cultural exchanges, tourism cooperation, and locality-to-locality and people-to-people exchanges.

The two sides pledged to enhancing the role of the two countries' legislatures in supporting the two governments to foster bilateral cooperation, including realizing the goal of raising the trade value to $100 billion by 2025.
