Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked the agricultural sector to strive to gain $100 billion from exporting agro-forestry and aquatic products in 2025.
While chairing his 2024 dialogue with farmers on December 31, PM Chinh suggested the sector to focus on key tasks to fulfill the target, including removing obstacles relating institutions, policies, planning, land, capital and market.
The Government leader also required the sector to boost the application of science and technology and innovation, and promote human resources training.
In 2024, Vietnam gained a record high of $62.5 billion in export revenue of agro-forestry and aquatic products, marking a year-on-year increase of 18.7%.
