Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrived in Beijing on June 25 to begin an official visit to China and attend the 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC) of the World Economic Forum (WEF) on June 25-28.
His visit takes place in the context of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries maintaining development trends with positive outcomes.
Vietnam is currently China’s fourth-largest trade partner. Two-way trade turnover hit $175 billion last year, accounting for a quarter of China’s total trade with ASEAN member countries.
Meanwhile, cooperation between Vietnam and the WEF continues to develop positively. The two sides have worked together in macro policy consultations, reducing plastic waste, promoting sustainable agriculture, narrowing the workplace skills gap, and speeding up digital transformation.
This year’s WEF meeting has the theme “‘Entrepreneurship: The Driving Force of the Global Economy”. It will consist of over 100 sessions with the participation of leaders from many countries and international organizations.
