Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited Gedeon Richter Plc, one of the largest pharmaceutical research centers and companies in Central and Eastern Europe, in Budapest, Hungary, on January 19, as part of his official visit to the country.
In Vietnam since 1995, Gedeon Richter has a representative office for product distribution in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Prime Minister suggested that the company increase its support and pass on its experience, knowledge, and management expertise to help Vietnam enhance its pharmaceutical capabilities and fulfil the sector’s development goals.
He noted that Vietnam boasts valuable medicinal herbs, and proposed that Gedeon Richter strengthen cooperation in researching and developing pharmaceutical products based on local medicinal plants.
Vietnam has created a favorable and transparent environment for enterprises, including pharmaceutical firms, to operate and develop, he added.
