Party General Secretary and President To Lam has asked the Politburo to give priority to plans that can create momentum to boost socio-economic development and improve people’s lives, tackle difficulties and obstacles for localities and businesses and stabilize political and social situations, the Government News has reported.

He made the request while chairing a regular meeting of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee in Hanoi on August 9.

He noted that the workload of the Politburo and the Party Central Committee Secretariat from now until the end of 2024 as well as preparation work for the 14th National Party Congress, which is scheduled to open in early 2026, remain large.

Accordingly, priority should also be given to plans that will be submitted to the 10th and following plenums of the 13th Party Central Committee.
