Q1 FDI attraction down but disbursement up
According to the General Statistics Office, total registered foreign investment capital as of March 20, including newly-registered capital, additional capital, and capital contributions and share purchases by foreign investors, stood at $8.91 billion, down 12.1 per cent year-on-year. FDI disbursement, however, increased 7.8 per cent in first quarter, to $4.42 billion; the highest level in the first quarter of a year for five years.
