The US technology giant Qorvo has expressed its readiness to cooperate with Bac Ninh province in northern Vietnam to develop an advanced semiconductor and packaging ecosystem, according to the company’s Vice President of Global Operations Technology Gernot Fattinger.

The US technology giant also showed interest in partnering with the province to develop supply chains, train human resources, and transfer technology, he said during a recent working session with authorities of the province. 

He highlighted Bac Ninh’s strong industrial infrastructure, favorable investment environment, and robust supply chains, noting the presence of numerous major corporations in the semiconductor industry as a key advantage.

Chairman of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan proposed that Qorvo assist the province in its ambition to become Vietnam’s leading semiconductor hub and to foster deeper collaboration between Qorvo and local private enterprises.

In Vietnam, Qorvo has been actively involved in human resource training and research and development in the semiconductor field. In Bac Ninh, the company has partnered with Amkor, Luxshare, and Sunshin Technology to design and manufacture microchips and semiconductors. Qorvo officially established a Representative Office in Bac Ninh on July 14, 2025.
