The Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee has directed departments, sectors, and relevant agencies to prioritize removing barriers facing local businesses and projects, while also requesting that investors proactively make any outstanding payments or else harsh measures will be imposed.

The move follows a recent meeting between the Acting Chairman of the People’s Committee Cao Tuong Huy and relevant agencies, which reported on existing difficulties and obstacles and proposed solutions to boost the implementation of major projects and deal with long-delayed arrears in land use and rental fee payments.

The People’s Committee has assigned the Departments of Planning and Investment, Natural Resources, Construction, and Finance as well as the Department of Taxation to carefully monitor problems and propose appropriate settlements.
