Quanta licensed to produce laptops in Nam Dinh

Authorities in northern Nam Dinh province have granted an investment license to the Quanta Group from Taiwan (China) to produce laptops and desktops in My Loc district with total investment of over VND2.8 trillion ($121.7 million).

On nearly 226 ha at the My Thuan Industrial Park, the factory is projected to produce 4.5 million units a year.

It is expected to be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Established in 1988, Quanta is among the top 500 companies globally and also one of the world’s leading laptop manufacturers.

It has eight major laptop factories worldwide, in China, the US, Mexico, Germany, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand, earning total annual revenue of over $40 billion.
