The Ministry of Transport (MoT) plans to develop a logistics service supply center of regional standard in Ho Chi Minh City.
The ministry will focus investment on developing transport and logistics infrastructure, increasing cargo handling capacity and upgrading storage at warehouses in seaports in the city.
This is part of an action plan issued by the MoT to implement Politburo Resolution No. 31 on orientations and tasks to develop Ho Chi Minh City by 2030 with a vision towards 2045.
Under the plan, the MoT will take measures to speed up the construction of key transport projects in the city for completion in 2026. These include construction of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, the T3 Passenger Terminal at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, and the Tan Van - Nhon Trach section of Ring Road No. 3.
Earlier this year, the southern city revealed a plan to build eight new logistics centers from now to 2025 on a total area of over 750 ha.
