The average selling price of resort real estate projects in the primary market in 2022 increased 12-15 per cent compared to 2021, according to the Vietnam Association of Realtors.
There were more than 19,100 new tourism and resort real estate products in 2022. The majority of supply came from the central region, with nearly 8,000 products, or 42 per cent of the total.
Prices ranged from VND17 million ($720) to VND167 million ($7,000) per sq m.
Analysts said the tourism and resort real estate segment does not meet tourism or entertainment demand but is considered an attractive segment for investors, contributing to the State budget and creating an important driver for growth in the property market.
However, they also said that policies and regulations on tourism and resort real estate trading still overlap, causing difficulties for State management agencies and hindering investment activities.
