The Youth Union of the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC), in collaboration with the Youth Union of the National Institute for Economics and Finance, and the Youth Union of the Department of Infrastructure Development, under the Ministry of Finance, and the Vietnam and Friends Organization, on May 31 organized the charity program “Road to English 2026” under the theme “Me & My AI: Life in the Age of Technology”.

The event was attended by representatives from the Hanoi Blind Association, IIG Vietnam, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, BeMe, as well as various organizations, businesses, and benefactors.

In recent years, Vietnam has identified science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as key strategic breakthroughs for renewing the growth model and advancing Vietnam toward  a developed, high-income nation. In this process, young people have been recognized as a vital force in building a digital society, digital economy, and digital citizenship.

This spirit is clearly reflected in “Road to English 2026” – a charitable initiative launched by the Youth Union of the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) and implemented annually over the years, aiming to connect education, technology, and social responsibility.

During the program, children and young people with disabilities were divided into teams to take part in English speech and presentation competitions centered on this year’s theme. The event also provided an opportunity for students to share their perspectives, thoughts, and aspirations about life, thereby fostering self-confidence and encouraging active integration into the community.

As part of the program, delegates also joined an Innovation Tour at the National Innovation Center (NIC).

During the tour, delegates visited NIC’s office spaces, shared laboratories, Digital Experience Center, Semiconductor Incubation and Training Center, and learned about the culture and working environment of Vietnam’s innovation ecosystem.

They also heard presentations from pioneering technology companies in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, biotechnology, and gene sequencing that are being incubated at NIC, including Genetica, ADT Global, Digman, and Onion. In addition, delegates were introduced to a variety of innovative startup models and emerging Vietnamese technology products.

Notably, children, young people and students with disabilities had an opportunity to directly experience and interact with modern technological solutions, including service robots and AI virtual humans. They also learned about Genetica’s biotechnology and gene sequencing solutions, as well as DIGMAN’s 3D printing applications supporting healthcare and education.

At the conclusion of the program, outstanding teams and participants were recognized and awarded prizes in acknowledgment of their efforts, while also encouraging their continued learning and personal development.
