Vietnam has been named as an Official Partner Country for the Startup Village Forum, one of the largest technology forums in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region, at its 2026 edition, which officially opened on May 28 at the Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow, Russia, according to Radio the Voice of Vietnam.
A significant milestone during the forum was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) and the Skolkovo Foundation. This agreement, coupled with the official announcement of Vietnam as a Partner Country for the Startup Village Forum, marks a new chapter in innovation and high-tech cooperation between the two nations.
The 2026 forum brought together a massive community of startups, investors, corporations, and innovative organizations from both domestic and international markets.
This year’s forum attracted thousands of founders, business leaders, experts, and investors, alongside 3,000 startups and technology representatives from more than 20 countries. This impressive turnout underscores the growing prestige and influence of Startup Village within the regional and global innovation ecosystems.
Under the theme "Made in the Future," Startup Village 2026 is designed as a "tech-festival." This model focuses on creating direct links between the practical technological requirements of large corporations and the creative solutions offered by the startup community.
Within the framework of the forum, major enterprises announced their specific technological needs, market challenges, and project budgets. In turn, startups were given the platform to present their solutions, pitch for investment, connect with partners, and implement real-world pilot programs.
The forum featured a variety of practical activities, including: in-depth panel discussions on market technology demands; exhibition spaces for demonstrating products and technological solutions; investment pitch sessions and project introductions; and networking activities aimed at building collaborative bridges between startups, investors, and corporations.
