Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has agreed to allocate capital to study investment in expanding the 78-km La Son - Tuy Loan section of the Eastern North-South Expressway, which connects central Thua Thien-Hue province with central Da Nang city.
It will be expanded from two lanes to four with a roadbed of 23 meters.
Total investment is estimated at over VND3 trillion ($126 million).
Construction is scheduled to begin next June and be completed in late 2025.
The first 66 km of the section was completed and put into operation last year, linking La Son junction in Thua Thien-Hue and Hoa Lien commune in Da Nang.
