Segments of My Thuan Bridge 2 to be connected in October

The Ministry of Transport has asked relevant agencies and contractors involved in the My Thuan 2 Bridge project to ensure construction progress and quality to connect the main segments of the bridge on October 30 this year, as scheduled.

The bridge will run from the An Thai Trung intersection along the Trung Luong - My Thuan Expressway in Tien Giang province’s Cai Be district to the intersection with National Highway No. 80 in Vinh Long province, the starting point of the My Thuan - Can Tho Expressway.

The main bridge and approach roads will have a total length of 6.61 km.

With a length of 1.9 km, the main bridge will have six lanes and a speed limit of 80 km/h.

Total investment is estimated at VND5 trillion ($210 million).

Construction of the bridge, which is part of the North-South Expressway project, began in March 2020.
