The Singapore-based polymer company the Sunrise Material Group signed an agreement on August 11 with a Vietnamese company on the development of a polymer wrap film production project costing $100 million in northern Nam Dinh province.

Construction will be carried out over five years, starting from 2024, with the project covering an area of 4 ha at the My Thuan Industrial Park. According to a representative from Sunrise Material, the plant is expected to manufacture its first products after 15 months.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Chairman of the Nam Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Pham Dinh Nghi said the major project demonstrates the province’s success in investment attraction, especially in the high technology and environmentally-friendly sectors. Nam Dinh is committed to creating the best possible conditions to assist businesses in resolving any issues during project construction and operation.

Established in 2004, the Sunrise Material Group specializes in the research, production, and supply of high-tech polymeric film, especially for food packaging. The group’s products are sold in more than 60 countries and territories worldwide.
