Authorities of southernmost Ca Mau province targets to hand over 100% of land for the investor by December 31 this year to implement the project expanding and upgrading Ca Mau airport.
The Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee has requested the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment to focus on tackling difficulties and obstacles relating to supply of construction materials for key projects, including Ca Mau airport project.
Under the planning for the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050, the airport will be upgraded to class 4C in accordance with the classifications of aircraft of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and Level 2 military airport.
It will be capable of catering to A320 and A321 aircraft.
The airport is projected to receive 3 million passengers and 3,000 tons of cargo by 2050.
The planning requires estimated investment capital of VND2.253 trillion ($88.6 million).
