Six more industrial park projects to be invested in central Thanh Hoa province

Domestic and foreign investors have proposed to invest in six major projects building industrial park (IP) infrastructure in central Thanh Hoa province with a total estimated investment capital of nearly VND16 trillion ($634 million).

The WHA Industrial Development, a leading industrial park developer in Thailand,  will invest VND1.32 trillion ($52.3 million) in WHA Smart Technology IP, covering 178.5 ha in Hoang Hoa district. The project has been appraised by the Ministry of Planning and Investment to submit to the Prime Minister for approval.

The group has also proposed to invest VND1.27 trillion ($50.3 million) in WHA  Smart Technology 2 – Thanh Hoa IP in Thieu Hoa district, on a total area of 174.9 ha.

Meanwhile, the Sumitomo Corporation of Japan proposed to build an IP in the western side of the province’s Thanh Hoa city. It will have a total investment capital of over VND2.91 trillion ($115 million) and cover 167 ha.

The Hop Thanh Vietnam-Japan IP Joint Stock Company planned to invest VND2.36 trillion ($93.6 million) in building a 295-ha IP in Nghi Son Economic Zone.

The IP No17 in the Nghi Son Economic Zone will be built by VAS Nghi Son JSC with a total capital investment of over VND6.43 trillion (more than $ 257 million). It will cover 570.12 ha.

The Anh Phat Construction Investment and Trade JSC in partnership with SMS Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Sri Avantika Contractors of India will invest VND1.47 trillion (over $58.8 million) in developing the Vietnam – India Hi-tech Pharmaceutical IP (first phase). It will cover 142.2 ha in Nghi Son Economic Zone.
