There are 503 social housing projects nationwide that have been completed, under construction, or approved for low-income earners and workers at industrial parks, according to the Ministry of Construction.

The projects are part of the government’s master plan on building at least 1 million social housing units for low-income earners and workers at industrial parks in the 2021-2030 periods.

They will supply a total of 418,000 units.

Of the total projects, 75 have been completed, with 40,000 units.

Meanwhile, 128 others are under construction, with 115,000 units and the remaining 300 projects have been approved with a total of 263,000 units.

Regarding the VND120 trillion ($4.71 billion) credit package for social housing projects,  only VND1.144 trillion ($44.9 million) have been disbursed by commercial banks for investors and buyers.
