State-owned enterprises (SOEs) continue to face challenges in their digital transformation efforts, a conference in Hanoi on July 26 to seek solutions to improve the task heard.
Major challenges include legal barriers, difficulties in building suitable roadmaps, the significant investment required, overcoming traditional business habits, and a lack of infrastructure.
To successfully conduct digital transformation, conference participants suggested that SOEs proactively renew and innovate themselves to develop appropriate and effective models.
Deputy Director General of Viettel Solution, Nguyen Chi Thanh, said each SOE has a different starting point for digital transformation, and it is necessary to assess their specific conditions in order to introduce an appropriate strategy and roadmap.
The Prime Minister approved the National Digital Transformation Program by 2025 with a vision to 2030 in 2020, under which Vietnam aims to be among the top 50 countries in e-Government development. The key objectives of the program include three pillars: Digital Government, Digital Economy, and Digital Society.
