During a recent workshop co-hosted by the Swiss-Viet Economic Forum (SVEF) and the Vietnamese Embassy in Switzerland, Swiss enterprises expressed keen interest in exploring investment opportunities in the northern province of Nam Dinh.

The event, attended by Chairman of the Nam Dinh provincial People's Committee Pham Dinh Nghi and other provincial officials, as well as leaders of Swiss and European companies, highlighted Nam Dinh's strategic advantages, including competitive industrial land rental prices and a skilled and productive workforce.

Mr. Mai Van Quyet, Director of the provincial Department of Planning and Investment, presented the locality's investment incentives and plans to attract foreign firms.

Dr. Petra Keil from Syngenta Group, a long-time investor in Nam Dinh, emphasized the province's competitive costs and talented labor force as key factors in its decision to establish a strong partnership there.

Ms. Jing Lu from Energy Depot expressed her interest in Nam Dinh's planned wind energy development, aligning with the company's growth targets in the technology and energy sectors. Energy Depot seeks collaboration with Nam Dinh to expand its operations in the province and Vietnam.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Switzerland Phung The Long reaffirmed Nam Dinh province and the Vietnamese Government's priority policies for foreign enterprises.

The ambassador underscored the longstanding partnership between Vietnam and Switzerland, emphasizing that Swiss investment in Nam Dinh is a crucial step in strengthening this relationship. He encouraged more Swiss companies to explore investment opportunities in Nam Dinh and other Vietnamese localities, assuring them of the SVEF's support.

SVEF Vice President Ivo Sieber praised Nam Dinh's efforts to improve its investment environment through administrative reforms and infrastructure development. He expressed confidence that the conference marked the beginning of a long-lasting partnership between Switzerland and Nam Dinh province in fields such as technology and green energy.
