$186-mln road to be built in Hung Yen province

The road helps to expand connection between the northern province and the capital city of Hanoi.

Authorities of northern Hung Yen province have approved a project to build a road connecting the province’s center with surrounding areas and expanding its linkage with the capital city of Hanoi.

Total investment capital is estimated at over VND4.9 trillion ($186 million), which will be funded by the State and provincial budget.

The 24.8-km road will start at the intersection between the road leading to TBS Song Tra Industrial Park with the National Highway 10 in Thai Binh ward, and end at the bridge spanning Luoc river in Ngu Thien commune.

The whole route consists of 8 bridges and nine intersections.

Construction is scheduled to start in 2025 and complete by 2028.

The road is also expected to open up new development space for Hung Yen by creating a strategic corridor connecting industrial parks, economic zones and urban centers.
