The Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VIB) has announced that it will increase its foreign ownership ratio to 30 per cent. This will allow the bank to seek more international cooperation.
SSI Research has forecast that PNJ may be excluded from the VN30-Index because its stock capitalization is insufficient, while VIB may take its place as it has the largest capitalization outside of the VN30.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Vietnam International Bank (VIB) have announced a three-year $260 million syndicated loan agreement to improve access to finance for SMEs and individual entrepreneurs. VIB will also implement a technical support program for female entrepreneurs, with a budget of $500,000. This is ADB’s first technical assistance provided to a Vietnamese bank to promote women’s entrepreneurship.
The Vietnam International Commercial Joint Stock Bank (VIB) has reached a three-year strategic cooperation agreement with Microsoft Vietnam, in which the bank will deploy a multi-cloud computing platform using Microsoft Azure as the primary cloud.
