The Directorate for Roads of Vietnam is urgently implementing a project to upgrade National Highway No. 14E, stretching 74 km through central Quang Nam province, with total investment of more than VND1.8 trillion ($77.1 million) from the State budget. The project is expected to be completed in 2025.

The Directorate for Roads of Vietnam has proposed a project to the Ministry of Transport on upgrading three national highways in the Mekong Delta: National Highway No. 53, National Highway No. 62 and National Highway No. 91B, with a total investment of nearly VND7.2 trillion (nearly $310 million), of which World Bank (WB) loans will total nearly VND5.4 trillion (nearly $233 million). Project implementation is four years, from 2024 to 2027.
