$1.1 bln expressway proposed to connect Phu Yen and Dak Lak provinces

The two provinces will merge from July 1 to form new Dak Lak province.

The People’s Committees of south-central Phu Yen province and Central Highlands’ Dak Lak province have proposed the Prime Minister to invest in building an expressway connecting the two localities after merging from July 1.

According to the proposal, the expressway will be 122 km long, starting from the intersection with the North-South Expressway and ending at the intersection with the National Highway 15.

The projected expressway  will be invested in the form of public-private-partnership (PPP) with total investment capital estimated at VND29 trillion ($1.1 billion).

It will have four lanes with a roadbed width of 24.75 m, allowing a maximum speed of 100 km per hour.

From July 1, 2025, the two provinces will merge with each other, creating new Dak Lak province.
