According to FiinGroup, credit increased strongly in the first half of the year but the average completion of annual profit plans for 2022 in the banking industry stands at just 51.5 per cent. Twenty-six of the 27 listed banks have set a target of after-tax profits growing more than 33 per cent, but their ability to complete plans is relatively low without additional credit lines.

Data from FiinGroup shows that bond issuances fell sharply in July, to VND22 trillion ($945.1 million), down 48.2 per cent compared to June and 65 per cent year-on-year. Notably, 19 of the 24 bonds issued were unsecured and/or have shares as collateral.

The Techcom Securities Company (TCBS) and the FiinGroup Company have signed a cooperative agreement, especially in the credit rating segment, to contribute to the building of a healthy and sustainable bond market.

When inflation rises, real estate prices generally do likewise. Analysts have warned, however, that there are times when inflation exceeds forecasts, and real estate prices not only don’t increase but actually decrease, the annual FiinGroup Invest Summit 2022 on February 25 heard.
