The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) has said that Vietnam’s labor market is recovering quite quickly. There is a shortage of workers in some industries, while recruitment demand for many occupations continues to increase. To resolve labor shortages, MoLISA has adopted a policy promoting training and created more favorable conditions for workers to find jobs through the internet.
The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has noted an imbalance in supply of and demand for workers in certain localities and industries in Vietnam, with the needs of businesses not being met as they focus on economic recovery.
According to the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the disbursement of housing rental support for workers is rising rapidly in most cities and provinces, reaching nearly 52 per cent of applications in total. Seventeen localities have disbursed support for all applications. In Hanoi, 320,000 workers have received support, or 100.5 per cent of the number expected.
An online jobs session for Vietnamese workers in South Korea and Japan returning home will be held on July 21 by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in cooperation with Hanoi, central Quang Nam province, and the Mekong Delta’s Dong Thap province. This will be an opportunity for local workers in South Korea and Japan to come home to stable employment and help reduce the number of Vietnamese living illegally in the two countries.
